Birthday Weekend Continued

The birthday weekend has been a total blast. Today is my real birthday, but we celebrated all weekend.

My friends threw a little party for me on Saturday. Thanks girls :-)

On Sunday, Tim gave me my second birthday gift: a gift certificate to Mirbeau, my favorite spa.

I decided I want to use the gift certificate to get a couples massage with him and then go to dinner in their restaurant.

On Sunday, for mothers day, my mom and grandmother and dad came over for brunch. I made cake, mimosas, and we had tons of other food.

Yesterday I went to the spa, and I treated myself to a fun summer color: Hologram by China Glaze. I love their colors. Here's the China Glaze website.

Blog Challenge Day 15: Something you don't leave the house without.

I am definitely one of those people who is glued to a cell phone. I have a blackberry, but I REALLY want the Droid 2.

I love how it has the touch screen, plus the full keyboard.

What do you always have with you when you leave the house?

Local Getaway

Traveling is great, but unfortunately not something we can do all the time. I love having local getaway spots to have a mini vacation. For me it's the spa. I'm lucky enough to live close to Mirbeau, one of the top spas and top small resorts in North America, according to Conde Nast Traveler. The resort has a french theme, and a garden that's straight out of a Monet painting. I love the spa.

When I go, I love the Ashiatsu massage. It's a backwalking massage. It sounds weird, but it feels great.
